My camera shakes and makes a buzzing noise. Do I need a replacement?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a common failure of the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) mechanism. It cannot be repaired separately. We replace the entire camera module with an original one to restore stable and sharp video recording.

Question 2

The camera app shows a black screen or freezes. Is it software?

Accepted Answer

While it can be software, 90% of the time it indicates that the camera hardware has died (often after a drop). If a restart doesn't help, the camera module needs to be replaced.

Question 3

Will the photo and video quality be the same as before?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We use original Apple camera modules taken from donor devices. You will get the exact same megapixels, color accuracy, focus speed, and 4K video capabilities as you had when the phone was new.

Question 4

I only cracked the external glass lens. Do I need a new camera?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. If the camera still focuses and there are no spots on the image, we can replace just the external glass lens (which is much cheaper). However, if glass dust has damaged the lens inside, the whole module must be changed.

Question 5

Will I see an 'Unknown Part' message after camera replacement?

Accepted Answer

On iPhone 12 and newer models, Apple serializes cameras. Replacing the module will trigger an 'Unknown Part' message in settings. This is purely cosmetic and does NOT affect camera quality or functionality. We guarantee the part is original.
