I cracked the camera glass. Do I need to replace the whole camera?

Not necessarily. If the camera still focuses correctly and there are no black spots or dust on the photos, we can replace just the external protective glass lens. This is much cheaper than replacing the camera module or the entire housing.

Is the lens part of the housing? Why don't you replace the whole back?

Accepted Answer

Yes, originally the lens is fused to the housing. However, replacing the full housing is very expensive and requires rebuilding the entire phone. We use a specialized technique to replace ONLY the broken glass lens without disassembling the whole device, saving you money.

Will the picture quality be the same after repair?

Accepted Answer

Yes, provided that the internal camera lens was not scratched by the broken glass shards. We thoroughly clean the area before installing the new glass. If the internal camera is damaged (spots on photos), we will recommend replacing the camera module instead.

Is the new glass as strong as the original?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We use sapphire-coated glass lenses that match the original hardness and scratch resistance. They are visually indistinguishable from the factory glass.

Will the phone remain waterproof?

Accepted Answer

We use high-strength industrial adhesive to seal the new glass lens into the frame. While this protects against rain and dust effectively, we advise against submerging the phone underwater, as the factory seal of the housing ring has been modified.
