I only cracked the black strip with the 'MacBook' logo. Is the screen damaged?
If the main image is fine, your screen is safe. This black strip (the bezel) is a separate cosmetic glass piece. However, you should replace it quickly, as sharp glass shards can easily cut the delicate display flex cables located directly beneath it.
